Value chain description

To ensure the consistency of their marine ingredients BioMarine uses whole fish that is wild caught just hours away from Ireland's coastline in the North Atlantic Ocean. At their state-of-the-art biorefinery, these superior raw materials are combined with BioMarins hydrolysis and filtration technology to produce the highest-quality, human-grade protein, mineral and lipid ingredients. These ingredients are used in a wide range of applications. In human nutritionapplications, they are producing products including ProAtlantic, Omega Blue and WhiteCal. ProAtlantic ProAtlantic is a range of premium grade hydrolysed Fish Protein Isolates (FPI) containing 95% protein and 0.5% fat for human nutrition products. In Pet and aquaculture nutrition, they have produced Proshore which is a range of high-grade Fish Protein Isolates (FPI) and Fish Protein Concentrates (FPC) containing 55% - 90% protein for the use in premium pet food formulations. In the Biofertilizer market they have developed ProGlas which when applied to soil, promotes growth by increasing the soil fertility providing the primary and critical nutrients necessary for plants and grass to thrive.
