Last 8th of June, our colleague Carmen Girón Domínguez presented some of our updates for the InformBio project in Bologna, Italy, at the 31st European Biomass Conference and Exhibition (EUBCE).
If you would like to read a bit more about the poster and the abstract that led to the poster, below a small description of them both:
Working to inform the transition towards a circular and climate neutral economy by 2050, the InformBio project is developing: (i) a biomass arisings database; (ii) an early-stage upstream environmental risk assessment tool. Both are intended to provide critical decision-support for businesses seeking to develop new bio-based value chains in a sustainable manner, i.e., respecting Planetary Boundaries. The functioning of decision support tools is showcased through an illustrative case study of bioethanol production from alternative agricultural feedstocks in Ireland.
