The past 20th of October, the InformBio team hold a webinar for the Bioeconomy Ireland Week 2022.
With the moderation of Carmen Girón Domínguez, the webinar started presented the first video of the project, followed by James Gaffey presentation about the InformBio project objectives, focusing in how the team is going to develop a Bioeconomy Observatory for Ireland.
Next, Jacopo Giuntoli, from the EU Joint Research Center (JRC), explained how they developed, and are still developing, the monitoring framework for the European Bioeconomy Monitoring System. Then, Maria Teresa Borzacchiello, also from the JRC, talekd about the Foresight Scenario study about different scenarios creation for the future of the bioeconomy in Europe in 2050.
The webinar clossed with a Bioeconomy Round Table, chaired by James and Carmen. In this roundtable Dr. Prof. Justus Wesseler, working in the BioMonitor project, about the re-structurisation of bioeconomy research existing data, to avoid the information gap, and about the modelling framework they are developping.
